Annesha Prokashon
Lighting Minds. Preserving Culture. Inspiring Futures.
Our Inspiring Slogan: In Search of Creativity…
Our Story
Annesha Prokashon began its journey with a singular vision: to nurture and elevate creative literature in Bangladesh.
Founded in 2005 in Banglabazar, Dhaka—the vibrant heart of the nation’s literary life—the publishing house emerged with the guidance of writers, educators, researchers, and well-wishers who believed in its mission.
From the beginning, our goal has been to introduce the richness of Bangladesh’s history, culture, and intellectual heritage to the younger generation, while contributing to the growth of a knowledge-driven, creative society.
Today, Annesha Prokashon is home to more than 1,000 titles spanning literature, education, research, and beyond.
What began as a modest vision has grown into a leading name in the country’s creative publishing landscape.
Annesha is no longer just a publisher—it is a cultural bridge, a literary incubator, and a catalyst for education, dialogue, and discovery.

About the Publisher
Md Shahadat Hossain
I was born in Gaodia—a quiet village in Louhajong, Munshiganj–Bikrampur, a place forever immortalized in Manik Bandopadhyay’s iconic novel Putul Nacher Itikotha.
My early education unfolded at Gaodia Government Primary School, Louhajong Pilot High School, and K. L. Jubilee School & College, followed by Dhaka City College, Jagannath University, and the Asian University of Bangladesh.
Although I completed a Master’s in Political Science, my deepest fascination has always been Psychology—the human mind, its emotions, its silence, and the hidden mysteries within.
My path to publishing began out of sheer passion.
But with the encouragement of my mentor, the celebrated cartoonist Ahsan Habib, that passion matured into a profession.
Today, publishing is not merely my work—it is my devotion and my dream.
Through it, I continue to weave imagination, effort, and aspiration into meaningful creations—one book at a time.
Looking ahead, I envision taking Annesha beyond the borders of Bangladesh and establishing a strong presence in the global literary landscape.
